The club fielded a single team in Double-A following the departure of coach Tony Oliva, who moved to Richmond during the off-season — taking some ex-Guildford players with him. This set up a first-round playoff clash between the two clubs, with Richmond prevailing on their home ground to advance.
The season also marked a change of venue: the club relocated from Broadwater to Christ's College, returning to the ground they had used in 2009 and installing a full-size field there.
Heather Armstead was inducted into the club's Hall of Fame in 2014 — jersey #84 retired in her honour. A long-serving catcher and one of the club's most respected figures, she had been part of the squad since the early years. Her name lives on in the Heather Armstead Rookie Award presented at the club's annual awards.
Heather suffered a serious accident during the year that resulted in the loss of her arm. She demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination in her recovery — a testament to the character the club has always admired in her.
