The Mavericks competed in the BBF Single-A South league, in Pool B alongside Braintree, Chelmsford, Herts Raptors, London Marauders, and Old Timers. Pre-season included an umpiring clinic led by Darrin Mueller and indoor training sessions at Broadwater School.
The club also participated in the Herts Spring League (vs London Marauders, Richmond Dragons, and the Sidewinders) before the main season opened at home against Tonbridge.

The defining event of 2010 happened off the field. Club co-founder Richard Williams returned to establish a junior programme — the Broadwater Bobcats — at the club's Broadwater School base.
What started as a grassroots coaching initiative became the official junior section of the club. That pipeline has since produced a generation of senior players — many of whom appeared for the Millers in 2020, 2021, and beyond.
Richard Williams was later inducted into the Hall of Fame (2016) for his contributions both as a co-founder in 1992 and for relaunching the junior programme that underpins the club today.
Award data for 2010 is not currently in the club's archive.
Richard Williams's return in 2010 and the Broadwater Bobcats he founded directly created the pipeline of homegrown talent the club fields today. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016.
